Harriet Greenstone is a psychologist who works with children, adolescents and adults. She has an M.A. in Educational Psychology and a Ph.D. in Integrated Studies in Education. Her special interest lies in the interconnections between psychology and education – such as the study of brain plasticity, learning, and life skills. She works with clients of all ages, with particular expertise in ADHD, ASD, Anxiety, and Depression.
Harriet has developed her own cognitive remediation program, called Cogniroutes. She also offers Cogmed Working Memory Training (Pearson), and has done additional training in Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (Ross Greene) and Mindfulness. She uses an eclectic approach, designing intervention programs to meet the client’s needs and personal style.
At Y2 Consulting Psychologists, she offers social skills groups, mindfulness training, brain training, ADHD support for all ages, parent education and support groups, and individual assessment and therapy for children and adults. She is a consulting psychologist at the Elna Pediatric Clinic and a member of the clinical research staff of the ARAC Clinic (the Alzheimer Risk Assessment clinic of the Jewish General Hospital)
Harriet teaches child development at Vanier College in Montreal and is a part-time professor and adjunct professor at the University of Ottawa. She also supervises university interns at her clinic in Montreal.
She is involved in a number of research projects, including looking at the developmental trajectories of NLD and personality disorders, and evaluating risk assessment and protective factors for Alzheimers. She is presently developing a research center, the Institute of Neurocognitive Initiatives, associated with her clinic, with goals such as looking at best practices in the evaluation of ADHD and related disorders.
Harriet has presented many workshops and written articles on a variety of topics, including temperament, interpersonal skills, executive function, emotional regulation, and evaluation techniques and strategies.
She has participated in many volunteer initiatives and on many hospital and school boards.
