Dr. Yannick Mailloux, Psychologist

A managing partner with Y2 Consulting Psychologists, Dr. Yannick Mailloux holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Ottawa . His doctoral thesis was related to the psychological markers (personality traits) associated with pathological gambling.

Dr. Mailloux offers evaluation and intervention (therapy) services for both adolescents and adults, using a cognitive-behavioural approach. He is a specialist in the fields of disruptive behaviour (conduct disorders, oppositional disorders), emotion management (anger, stress, etc.), parental discipline problems, as well as behavioural dependence (pathological gambling, for example). He has worked for 15 years with young people with severe behavioural difficulties.

Dr. Mailloux is affiliated with the School of Psychology and the Department of Communication at the University of Ottawa, in addition to being a sessional lecturer in the Department of Psychology and Psychoeducation at l'Université du Québec en Outaouais.

In addition, Dr. Mailloux offers consultation services to different government departments and agencies, and to private industry, in the selection of personnel and, in particular, in the evaluation of the personality and expertise of senior executives, managers and other candidates.
