Our process includes a number of steps to guide you:

• An initial/intake session to learn about our process and the find out about your career aspirations and goals
• A review of your work and/or educational experience.
• An assessment — using psychometrictools — of your strengths, competencies/skills, interests, values, personality factors, and development needs.
• Development of, and research on, your career options with our counsellors to help you make informed career/educational choices.
• Development of an action plan for you to follow in order to reach your career goals.

And, most importantly, our counsellors have access to over 100 online career/leadership assessment and development tools to better focus their interventions.

• Career Selection

  By way of a structured process, our career counsellors can help you acquire a better understanding of your career interests/needs, abilities, skills and personality. The process will help you identify: (1) potential career choices that best fit your strengths (and challenges), (2) the requirements for and specific market information for a specific career, and (3) a plan to achieve that career goal.

• Career Development

  We help you acquire a clear career focus by determining the strong points and possible developmental experiences required to advance your career goals and aspirations.

• Career Challenges and Opportunities

  Our psychologists and counsellors will help you pinpoint your next career move and/or organizational challenges. We work with you to deal effectively with those challenges and to develop career opportunities with you.

• Career Transitions

  We can also assist you at times when you are seeking a career change or when one is thrust upon you. In either situation, we can help to point you in the right direction.

• Career Counselling for Students

  Y2CP has developed a career counselling package for students (high school, college and university). This package is cost-effective and ideal for students aged 14-25 and includes an exploration of career interests and values to assist students in making educational and career decisions.

  You must be currently studying to benefit from this package.

• Counselling Expertise

  Our psychologists and career counsellors offer expert and specialized services in assessment, development and counselling.
