Pierre-Louis Audette is currently completing his doctorate in clinical neuropsychology (D.Psy.) at the Université du Québec en Outaouais. His doctoral essay and research have led to several scientific publications on the electrophysiological biomarkers underlying various cognitive processes involved in face recognition.
In his clinical training, Mr. Audette completed his first internship at the CLSC de Vaudreuil-Dorion as part of a multidisciplinary team working with older adults presenting with complex geriatric syndromes. He also facilitated an intervention group (SYNAPSE) at the CLSC for patients with mild neurocognitive disorder. The group aimed to help participants learn and apply strategies to support and optimize cognitive functioning in daily life, while raising awareness of the risk and protective factors associated with Alzheimer’s disease and other neurocognitive disorders. Mr. Audette subsequently completed his second internship at Pavillon Dorion, part of the CIUSSS du Nord-de-l’Île-de-Montréal, and at the McGill Centre for Studies in Aging at the Douglas, where he assessed older adults presenting with complex geriatric and/or psychosocial syndromes, primarily neurocognitive disorders.
