Vanessa MacDonald-Renaud, Counselling therapist

Newly part of the Y2 Consulting Psychologists team, Vanessa M. Renaud is a Counselling Therapist in Quebec. She is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint-Paul University where she won the Medal of Excellence (2021) for her devoted clinical and research performance. Vanessa pursued her studies at Harvard University graduating from a positive psychology certificate program and completed her Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching certificate at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in the USA; she cares about you meeting your happiest and healthiest self!

With more than five years in the mental health realm, Vanessa works with adults struggling with overwhelming stress, depression, anxiety, life transitions, anger management, parenting, relationship issues, spirituality, lifestyle/nutrition, and more.

In sessions, she will be there to help you navigate the root of your distress, equipping you with evidence-based techniques tailored to your personal needs for deeper healing, growth, and transformation. Vanessa also has a soft heart for parents who are experiencing hardship around anxiety, depression, performance, and daily stress.

Her hope is to make a difference in the clients' lives by allowing them to see for themselves, how they can flourish to live their most meaningful moments; all while realizing they themselves, add meaning to the world.

Vanessa focuses on the whole person of who you are, bringing a holistic approach inclusive of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Christian Spirituality (if requested). Vanessa looks forward to holding a safe non-judgement space for you to express your current hardship and collaboratively work together to find the solutions.
