Hello and welcome! I am Konul, a registered psychotherapist. I completed my training at the University of Ottawa and am a member of the CRPO (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario).
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in various environments, including private and public settings. I primarily use a cognitive-behavioral approach, integrating humanistic approach (Person-Centered Therapy) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I specialize in working with adults and the elderly. My expertise covers a wide range of issues, including addictions (alcoholism, smoking, drugs, internet addiction), personal difficulties (anxiety, depression, emotion management, grief), professional problems (burnout, career coaching, work-related stress), as well as psychological problems (sleep disorders) and challenges in marital and family life (separation, conflicts, parenting skills).
My goal is to provide a warm, welcoming, and safe atmosphere where difficulties can be explored to collaborate on finding practical solutions and helping individuals return to a meaningful life. Guided by a passion for improving mental well-being, I fully engage in my practice, consistently striving to meet the needs of my clients with sensitivity and professionalism. I am fluent in English, French, Azeri and Turkish.
