Océanne is a master’s student in Counselling Psychology and practises as a psychotherapist in qualification, under clinical supervision by Dr. Yannick Mailloux, at Y2 Consulting Psychologists. She is currently pursuing registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is continuing her training in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa, where she is developing her skills in counselling and psychotherapeutic intervention. As part of her professional development, she has also completed ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), which focuses on suicide intervention and supporting individuals at risk of suicide.
She primarily works with adolescents and adults in a warm, respectful, and non-judgmental environment. Bilingual in French and English, she offers services in both languages. Her clinical interests include emotional regulation, understanding and managing emotions, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, stress and anxiety, as well as various mental health concerns.
She takes a humanistic, collaborative, and person-centred approach, with a particular interest in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), which plays an important role in her training and therapeutic approach. She also draws on various tools and concepts from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). These approaches allow her to tailor her support to each individual’s needs, goals, and pace. As part of her training, she has also explored emotional regulation in individuals living with borderline personality disorder, as well as exposure therapy.
Her practice is guided by the values of empathy, openness, respect, and authenticity. She views psychotherapy as a collaborative process that helps individuals better understand their experiences, develop new coping resources, and foster meaningful and lasting change. She strives to provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming space where each person can feel heard, understood, and respected.
